INDORE, India, Nov 17 (Reuters) - Yuvraj Singh blasted his second consecutive century and grabbed four wickets to guide India to a comfortable 54-run win over England in the second one-day international on Monday.

The 26-year-old hit 118 to lift India out of trouble at 29 for three and to an imposing 292 for nine before denting England's fightback, putting the hosts 2-0 up in the seven-game series.

England collapsed to 238 all out after Yuvraj ended a 96-run second-wicket partnership by removing Owais Shah (58) and Matt Prior (38) in successive overs before returning 4-28 bowling slow left-arm spin on a sluggish pitch.

He returned to dismiss Andrew Flintoff (43) and skipper Kevin Pietersen (33) in the same over after their racy 74-run fourth-wicket partnership had kept alive England hopes before they lost four wickets for eight runs.

"At 29-3 we definitely felt we had a chance (but) we probably slipped there," Pietersen said. "And after the Power Play I think Freddie and I took it quite nicely to get the momentum back but unfortunately we lost ourselves to Yuvraj.

"He again played a fantastic game today, scoring a 100 and taking four for nothing, I mean the boy is playing good cricket."

Yuvraj, who stroked 138 not out to set up India's crushing 158-run win in Friday's first contest of the seven-match series, took over after young paceman Stuart Broad's triple strike left the hosts reeling at 29 for three.

Like its predecessor, Ring of Fates will support up to four players in multiplayer mode, as well as sporting the option to go it alone in single player. In the event one decides to play with some friends, everyone involved votes on a group leader, and then they get down to business.

While going through multiplayer, there will be five classes to choose from: Warriors, Archers, White Mages, Black Mages, and a support class. Warriors are the melee fighters for up close combat, while archers rain arrows from a distance, and black mages bombard enemies with arcane attacks. All the while, white mages take care of healing. The support class appears to fill a micromanagement role where it creates special orbs that magic users need in order to cast their spells.

Generally, the action will take place on the DS' top screen, while players issue commands and sort through menus via the touch screen. However, it is possible to swap the screens, allowing players to attack enemies simply by poking them with their stylus pen. Going this route is also expected to open the door to special combo attacks.

Single player mode will follow the adventures of twins Yuri and Chelinka as they unearth the mysteries of a red crystal. Along the way they will meet new characters like Meeth, the spell caster Alhanalem, a lad named Gnash, and the twins' father, Ratov.

EVE Online: Quantum Rise expansion

EVE Online is set in outer space, where players command massive starships. Players can travel throughout an online galaxy comprising thousands of individual worlds, and can lead careers as pirates, traders, prospectors, speculators and much more. The game has been available for the Mac since 2007.

Unlike many online games, EVE Online all takes place within a “single shard” system, where all players participate on the same server — up to tens of thousands of gamers play at any given time, all sharing the same experience. That’s led to occasional problems involving game lag and other issues compounded by having many players online together at once.

Quantum Rise, the ninth expansion to EVE Online, is a two-staged release. The first stage has already been deployed — CCP has incorporated “under the hood” enhancements to resolve those problems — the game now uses technology called “StacklessIO” and “EVE64” to help reduce network lag and server overloads.

Newly announced enhancements for Quantum Rise include in-game subscription services; “Assembly Array” upgrades for those wanting to produce very large items; Alchemy; UI changes including a moveable HUD, module recharge timers and weapon grouping; more efficient bomb production; a re-balancing f ship speeds; 10 new music tracks; and upgrades to the Trinity Premium graphics content (which, sadly, is not yet available for the Mac).

Other already-announced feature updates in Quantum Rise include the ability for corporations to distribute custom medals; a newly-designed certificate system; re-balancing of industrial ships and the introduction of a new capital ship called the Orca, new autopilot avoidance options and more.

More details are anticipated at EVE Fanfest, CCP’s annual gathering of EVE Online enthusiasts, which comes to CCP’s home town of Reykjavik, Iceland from November 6 - 8, 2008.
